Not active yet. Today no booking on Turnoo holds or charges anything in advance — the price of an appointment is for information only. This page describes the planned policy for when a business can, if it chooses, turn on prepayment or a deposit on its listing. Reference framework: the PSD2 Directive (EU 2015/2366) on strong customer authentication and temporary holds. Each business will set its own amounts. English translation provided for convenience; the Spanish version prevails.
What the deposit will be
To secure a last-minute slot, a business will be able to turn on a guarantee deposit on its listing. It would be a bank pre-authorisation (hold): the amount would not reach the business's account when you book, only once the appointment is completed.
Cancellation, once active
> 2 hours
100% free of charge
The hold is released immediately.
< 2 hours or no-show
Deposit is taken
It would compensate the professional for the blocked slot.
Reliability score
This does exist today, and it is different from the deposit: every account has a reliability score calculated from your real appointment history (confirmed attendance, cancellations with or without notice, no-shows), never from labels or fixed penalties per event. On its own it neither holds money nor blocks bookings.
